Schoolfund$ Overview
Schoolfund$ aims to make comprehensive VDOE data more accessible to the public. Through a simple and intuitive design, Schoolfund$ is able to take query parameters from users and transform them into useful data. Users who might find Schoolfund$ useful include moving families trying to survey an area's schools, students interested in how their own school compares to others in an area , and anyone with an interest in education!
Schoolfund$ is of particular use for government officials and school administrations looking to understand and improve educational facilities. It can be used to view general data about an area, trends in response to proposed and enacted policies, and detailed information concerning school expenditure over time. The design of the site lends itself both to easy expansion of current capabilities as well as the addition of new features to easily track areas of specific new interest.

This data represents the State of Virginia as a whole. It contains information on statewide SOL scores as well as financial breakdowns concerning expenditure per pupil and how state divisions compare to one another. The Explore! option enables deeper analysis of specific counties and schools.
